I’m totally behind on posting photos from portrait sessions. Thought I’d take a minute to post this one since it’s on top of mind – I’ve just finished working with it. I loved so much about this session. Karen is kind, confident in who she is [she’s claimed her ”awesome”] and deeply spiritual. We discovered, during pre-session chatting, that I’d taken a class from her many years ago and that we had several contacts in common. It felt like she was a serendipitous gift sent to me to remind me that we are all deeply connected on some level – and that when we do what we love the right people will be attracted to us – flowing in and out of our lives by divine appointment.

There’s always room for a little fun in a portrait session. We took care of the formal poses first – then let a little of the Italian come out. Look at those hands – “what’s a matter for you, eh?”

Casual Business Head Shots

I got the chance to work with Beate recently doing some company head shots. Everyone was so welcoming in her work place and it was a pleasure getting the opportunity to make these images. We were striving for professional, welcoming and a little creative. Here’s a sneak peek. ♥

Raffle Winners from Saturday’s Open House … and Fresh Bread

In Business, cooking, Massage, Open House, Photography, Specials, Spring on June 3, 2013 at 3:21 PM

The Open House on Saturday was a great success!! Once the guests arrived I was so engaged with interacting with everyone that I neglected to take any pictures, but there are a few detail shots here. It was  fun to meet new people and I’m so grateful for the love and support from so many friends and family members.

There were lots of flowers everywhere and these were my favorite. I’ve spent this rainy Monday morning playing around with a few photographs, making homemade bread AND drawing the winners of the raffle prizes…

I’ll be mailing the gifts out this week and can’t wait for the winners to come in and use them.

Drum roll …. winner of the 10 minute hand massage is Karin G from Manchester; winner of the 30 minute Swedish massage is Ann A from Glastonbury; and winner of the 20% off coupon is Carey P from Vernon!! Yay!

For everyone else who came please remember that your gift for signing up for the mailing list, $20 off a 30 minute massage is valid only for June and July 2013 – so call to book your spot now. If you weren’t able to make it Saturday you can still take advantage of the $15 off 30 or 60 minute therapeutic massage special rolled over from May.  Looking forward to seeing you!!

indiegogo campaign … and first round of public thank yous

In Business, Marketing, Massage, Photography on May 12, 2013 at 7:35 AM

I’ve created an Indiegogo campaign to help raise funds for the studio. There are a few items I need in order to transition into being a professional, working studio – like photo back drops, some light stands … and even the ability to do some more marketing. Click the link below to view the campaign:

Help Raise $5000 for Tania Palermo Studio on Main

There are  many ways to help. You can give financially to the campaign. If that is not possible you can offer support by helping to spread the word to your friends and family in order to help me reach my goal. You can simply tell people you know about Studio on Main in order to help me build my client base. Or – just pop in some time and say hello … having company along a journey makes it much more rich.

The perks for helping are different for each level of donation and include things like a therapeutic massage session, a portrait session and some of my signed photographic prints … along with a public thank you!!

Today I’d like to say thank you to:

Josephine DeQuattro, Sue Forbes & Sandy Graham who sent me $$ before I ever even mentioned a crowd funding campaign. Ridiculously thoughtful!! Your gifts helped me purchase a sign for the studio, amongst other things.

Anne Odell for loaning me an antique chaise lounge to do some studio portraits in. We tested it out with five year old Carter and it’s a wonderful addition to the shop.

Ellen Mangiafico for giving me beautiful furniture for the front porch and Papa Palermo for a work table that I love. Now folks will be able to sit for a minute after their massage – a nice transition before heading back to a busy day.

And to:

Nick Palermo, Jr; Glenn Sinon; Jessica Hart; Jessica Gionet; Darci Sosa and Laura Dougherty for their very, very generous financial donations to the campaign. Just wow!! :) You’ll never know how much your help means. I’m so touched I don’t know the right words!
