In Head Shot, Photography, Portrait on December 11, 2014 at 5:33 PMI’m totally behind on posting photos from portrait sessions. Thought I’d take a minute to post this one since it’s on top of mind – I’ve just finished working with it. I loved so much about this session. Karen is kind, confident in who she is [she’s claimed her ”awesome”] and deeply spiritual. We discovered, during pre-session chatting, that I’d taken a class from her many years ago and that we had several contacts in common. It felt like she was a serendipitous gift sent to me to remind me that we are all deeply connected on some level – and that when we do what we love the right people will be attracted to us – flowing in and out of our lives by divine appointment.
Small Business Saturday | Gift Certificate for Massage | Manchester, CT
In Massage, Specials on November 18, 2014 at 7:13 PM“A massage is just like a movie, really relaxing and a total escape, except in a massage you’re the star. And you don’t miss anything by falling asleep!”
Make this your year of self-care! Tell a loved one you need a gift certificate for massage. On Small Business Saturday – 11/29/14 – from 11 AM – 3 PM all gift certificates for a one hour therapeutic massage will be $20 off.
While supplies last each gift certificate will come with a free gift! I spent this morning making delicious smelling lemon sugar scrubs; holiday spice sugar scrubs; and essential oil infused massage lotion. It’s a little slice of heaven in a jar. Don’t you deserve a little “me time”?
Holiday Mini Goofiness
In Children, Family Portrait, Photography on November 16, 2014 at 5:57 PMI ran a Holiday Mini special in the studio recently. It was a first for me and trying to get everyone to give me that “perfect smile” in a 20 minute session proved to be a difficult task – but a fun one. Love this family, all dressed so beautifully – kicking back and just having a blast. In the end I think the experience of joy is so much more important than the perfectly polished pose.
Holiday Mini Sessions | November 7 & 8, 2014
In Children, Family Portrait, Photography, Portrait, Specials on October 6, 2014 at 5:27 PM
Last week in the studio we did a test run for holiday mini sessions. I know – it’s ridiculously early. If it weren’t for a local mom who urged me to get ready – Christmas would not be on my mind yet. I’m glad she did because your photos need to be taken with enough lead time to allow for editing and then ordering prints for you. Call today to book your appointment. :)
Day In The Life Portrait Photographer | Manchester, CT
In Children, Family Portrait, Photography, Portrait on September 18, 2014 at 5:47 PMOne thing I love about doing “Day In The Life” portrait sessions …. catching real life moments like these. Jacob was considering climbing the stairs for the first time while I was there photographing the family. The next shot was of his bum …. from behind … as he traversed the lower three steps. Priceless moment.
A Day In The Life | Maternity | CT
In Family Portrait, Photography on September 2, 2014 at 8:09 PMDay In The Life sessions are meant to be photo journalistic in nature. Nothing is staged. We use whatever natural light is available and make images of life – just as it is. Once the session is done you will receive prints from your day so that years from now you can pull them out, pass them around and tell stories from this time in your journey.
A Day In The Life | Family Portrait Session | CT
In Children, Family Portrait, Photography, Portrait on August 20, 2014 at 6:29 PMA day in the life portrait sessions are something new I’ve been experimenting with lately. Rather than dressing up, coming to my studio and trying to get everyone to behave perfectly to make one beautiful photo – I come to you and document your life as is. I’m your paparazzi for a few hours and we capture all those precious moments that make life wonderful …. mess, imperfection and all.
This morning bath is just one activity we photographed in the three hours I spent with this family. I love the bottom right image because it contains three generations of love. Grammie in the background helping Josh get clean … while he leans over and looks at a photo of his great-grandfather.
And one of Joshua’s twin brother Jacob – taking a break from watching Mickey and eating breakfast to give me some serious checking out. I was told Jacob is more introverted and loves really taking people in – so this moment captures him wonderfully. :)
The CT Shore | Tania Palermo | Photographer
In Art, landscape, local artist, Photography on August 4, 2014 at 6:05 PMI realized the other day that I don’t know the CT shore very well. Growing up, friends and I always drove to RI – and family and I always went to places like Delaware and North Carolina. With a desire to explore, I took a drive towards the shore recently and happened upon this peaceful spot. Where is your favorite local get away?
